Wild Cats Bundle

When Wild Cats showed up in the Stampin Up catalog I knew I had to have it to make my grandson a birthday card.  He has always loved tigers.  We took him to the Nature Center in Asheville when he was just barely talking.  He was excited to maybe see a tiger.  The Nature Center only has animals that are native to the Southern Appalachians so I knew there would not be any tigers.  I tried to pass off a cougar as a tiger thinking he was too young to know the difference.  He politely told me "Dat not no tiger DeeDee".  Fond memories - he is about to turn 14 and is way taller than me and just as smart.  I hope he likes his birthday card.

I cased the card in the annual catalog on page 44.  I changed  the sentiment to a birthday one. The tiger is cut from an image on the designer series paper. Here are some close-ups and a picture of the inside of my card. Enjoy!

Important Shipping News

 Starting April 1, 2022:

Stampin’ Up! has announced a change to shipping and handling pricing. Starting April 1, the minimum shipping charge will increase by $1.00, from $6.95 to $7.95—or by one percentage point, from 10% to 11% of the total order amount—whichever is greater.

I want to make sure you’re aware of this change, as it impacts both you and me. Stampin’ Up! is only one of many companies that have had to increase their shipping and handling costs in response to the global supply chain crisis. Stampin’ Up! has worked to keep the increase as minimal as possible so we can continue bringing you the unique, high-quality, and coordinated papercrafting products we love.

You’ve probably noticed an increase everywhere you shop!

Prices have gone up everywhere!!  Including shipping costs.

Just as an example of how much shipping has increased…

10 years ago it cost $5.30 to mail each annual catalog.  Now, the shipping cost is $8.95 to mail an annual catalog to you.

That is a 69% increase in mailing costs over that 10 years, during which time Stampin’ Up! did not pass on any increases in shipping costs.

More Info:

Just 2 examples:

  • On a $50 order, you will pay $1 more for shipping.
  • On a $150 order, you will pay $1.50 more for shipping.
Also some catalog items will have a price increase. So stock up now before the shipping and price increases.  The shipping increase goes into effect April 1.

Have a Stamp Happy Day,
Diane

Last-Chance Products

Ready or not it's Retirement Time! Stampin' Up! has just released the list of retiring products and some items are on sale. Now is the time to get those items on your wish list ordered before they are long gone.  I highlighted a few of the products below that I adore and are on sale now.

Here are my Top 3 Tips for the Retirement List:

  1. In Colors: All 2020-2022 In Color inks, paper, and embellishments are retiring. These items usually sell out quickly so don't forget to add ink refills and extra cardstock to your craft stash. You don't want to miss having these gorgeous colors in your collection!

  2. Bundles: Bundles, with their 10% savings, all retire! Even if the bundle items carryover to the next catalog the discount does not - so if you have your eye on a bundle, get it now and save!

  3. Stamps vs. Accessories: Retiring stamps are available through 2 May 2022. All other retiring items, such as paper, embellishments, and dies are only available while supplies last, so you don't want to wait and miss out.

Happy Stamping,

Amazing Silhouettes TGIF Challenges

I created this card for the TGIF weekly challenge #tgifc360. It is a challenge for Simple Stamping which is very hard for me as I want to always step it up.  I used some of the designer series paper from the Pattern Party pack.  This is a host product in the annual catalog.  I used it as a guide to pick my colors.  I stamped a panel of Basic White with the butterfly from the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set with Magenta Madness, Crushed Curry and Just Jade. I used a strip of Night of Navy to separate the DSP from the butterfly panel.  I stamped a Hello from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Night of Navy and added some in-color gems for some bling.

Simply Elegant

Annual Catalog -Simply Elegant Suite

Hello

The Simply Elegant Suite is rich in luxurious details and textures that you just have to see in person to really appreciate. The Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper combines the elegance of Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Very Vanilla with the shimmery luster of Gold, Copper, and Silver - it's simply gorgeous!

Often, stamp and punch combinations are designed to punch out a specific image, but in this case the Elegant Tag Punch works with several images and greetings in the Elegantly Said stamp set. The bonus of this design is that the punch works with lots of other images and greetings from other sets, too!

The tutorial below, shows a soft and sweet alternate to the colors highlighted in the Simply Elegant Suite. I think you'll love the versatile style of this bundle and suite!
